17 Naturally Lit, Open to the Outside, and Plant-Filled Office Interiors

Share:

For most people, there is just something magical about working in the outdoors, taking a hike, or just generally experiencing nature. But for some reason, office designers have decided that the outdoors = bad and have sectioned off employees from them entirely.

Why is that? Probably because they hate fun.

But recently, I've come across a number of awesomely inspiring office interiors that bring some of the glory of outside, inside - and do it through a variety of means such as natural light, indoor plants, or even being open to the outside.

My current workstation is aligned in such a way that I can look outside and feel a nice breeze - so these sorts of office are right up my alley - and hopefully up yours as well.

Wow…we don’t have a tree house but we have some fantastic windows (no lights on today!) and a full view of the Chicago skyline! http://www.enerspacechicago.com/the-space.  Natural light = inspiration = great work and happier people!

I’ve got a tiny desktop fountain, a golden pothos, and an African violet set up on an occasional table in front of my office’s window. I’d love to have more plants, but there’s only enough sunlight for a couple. So, I’ve got a large panoramic print of the redwood forests of California above my desk instead.

Amazing photos!  Loved the trees inside the office the most.
