HotelPal – The headache reducing travel app

One of my first business trips to the East Coast was definitely not one of favorites. I flew to Atlanta for a conference and the trip went well until I got to the airport to return home. Apparently there had been thunderstorms all day (I had been inside a convention center all day, it was July and I had no clue this could even happen) so all flights were delayed or canceled. My original flight was at 6 PM and right about 11 PM I gave up on trying to get home that night. I quickly googled the nearest Hyatt after buying wifi on my laptop and made a reservation for the night. Since I’m not from Atlanta and didn’t have time to do research, I made the mistake of booking a hotel that turned out to be 25 miles away and the cab fair wasn’t pretty. I had no idea that I would be stuck at this Hyatt for 2 days and no idea that this Hyatt was poorly serviced, in a not so great area and that airport shuttles had no routes too.

Fast-forward to today and I wish I 1. Had an iPhone and 2. Had the app HotelPal.
