How to: Add Green Space to your Office
Adding green space to your office can add Feng Shui, as Sarah touched on, absorbing the electromagnetic fields in the air as well as cleansing it. Plants also add texture to the work environment.
According to studies done by Nasa, Philodendrons, Spider plants, and Pothos were found to be the most efficient in the removal of formaldehyde. Gerbera Daisies and Chrysanthemums were found to be effective in the removal of benzene, a known carcinogen. source If you don't want to introduce a pot with dirt into the office there are many varieties of Ivy that don't require dirt to maintain a root system. Succulents are also a low-maintenance plant to bring into the office with minimal dirt and water keep most thriving.

Aloe plants, Ficus, Spider plants, Common English Ivy, Chinese Evergreen and Mums are other varieties of indoor plants that clean the air and are a great visual addition to your office. Herbs such as Mint, Basil or Oregano would not only add the green but an aroma as well, a little bonus to the air purification. Do you use a Plant service for your office? I have a golden pothos on my side table by the office window. I also add cut flowers to provide color - especially in the winter. The succulents in cork holders are cute. I may try that too for the wall.
