Office Myth: You Have to Hire a Designer or Your Office will Look Bad

Share:

Though I design offices, I definitely think you can achieve an awesome office design without hiring a designer. For most people the just don't have the time so they hire someone or they don't have any idea what to start and what to do. It all makes sense and I want to "bust this myth" (MythBusters, get it?) and show you what you can do if you aren't going to hire a designer and still want a stylish, functional workspace.

1. Choose a pre-packaged and stylish design

Something that most people don't know is that there are a lot of "pre-packaged" design options that will make choosing your office furniture a complete breeze.  A lot of furniture dealers out there now have packaged options and of course and I am little obsessed with what Turnstone has to offer as well. You can literally buy everything you need with a click of a button based on the square footage of your space. How awesome is that?

2. Plan it yourself with the Turnstone iPad app

I love technology and with so many different iPad apps out there, I'm not surprised that they now have a space planning app out there too. Turnstone's iPad app allows you to actually plan your space out and even see a 3D view of what the space will be like. This makes planning your office space really easy and honestly its a lot of fun to use the app.

3. NEED someone plan your space for you? Hire a design, for FREE

Yes you read that right, I said hire a designer for free. I don't mean go to different interior designers and see if they'll work for free but a lot of furniture dealers out there now have designers that will literally plan out your space for free. You know where I'm going with this, Turnstone has a team of designers that will plan out every aspect of your space for free. Obviously they're using their amazing furniture but they will plan out your color scheme, space and every detail that goes into it. This is the best option because you don't have to deal with trying to plan anything else yourself, just have them do it for you.
