How to Plan an Office Warming Party

SORT OF LIKE THE “BREAK A BOTTLE ON THE BOW” THING.

The hard part is done, it’s time to celebrate. Don’t underestimate the importance of this part of a move. It’s essential for your team to congratulate each other on the not-so-easy accomplishment. Here’s a few tips on how to make your party a success:

• Be sure to invite all employees (don’t forget significant others) as well as loyal customers, board members, your investors, etc.
• Plan it a month or two after your move is complete to ensure everything is in place and in working order.
• Late in the week from 4PM or 5PM works well, as employees will naturally stay after work to celebrate rather than go home and have to come back.
• Plan a few activities that celebrate your business and maybe even provide a raffle or something.
• Be sure to have plenty of snack food, drinks and some awesome music.
• Plan tours of the office if it’s a bigger space or outline the process you went through to get where you are.
