Office Roles for your Move

In any project, it's important to have designated roles and responsibilities for the team. This same principle applies to your office move or redo. Assign someone to be in charge of the project as a whole, someone to do the designing and decorating portion, and be sure to enroll your teammates when appropriate!

The Mastermind

The start-to-finish lead for the entire project. This person will manage the move, timing, communications, as well as numerous other details. Ultimately, he or she is the driver of the bus and is up to this person remain in constant control. Look for these qualities in your Mastermind: senior enough to make decisions, a multi-tasker, motivated communicator, highly organized, and budget-wise

Interior Wonder

The visionary of your crew. Your Wonder will lead the look/tone/feel of the space, as well as manage the not-so glamorous stuff such as working furniture around electrical and data needs. Color conscious, aesthetically in-tune. If your company needs help in this area, contact one of our friendly space planners.

Office-mates

Your new space matters to these folks in a very big way. They have opinions, and should be able to add their input. Involve them, make them aware of plans and ideas, but remain authoritative. Remember, they’ll be more involved later on as the move draws near.
