Frequently asked questions about space planning.
Q: How can the SPC planning service benefit me?
A: Not everyone has a knack for designing or an eye for what looks good and works. And, hey, you still have your day job to do, right?! We can help by offering ideas and layouts on your vision for your space. Saves you time and money AND has a professional do it for you! What could be better?!
Q: What does it include?
A: You'll have one-on-one conversations with one of our designers. The designer will learn about your space, key drivers, and your employees. You'll then see a preliminary floor plan and have a chance to talk to the designer about it, make a few changes and end up with a fantastic workspace!
Q: How will you bill me after the initial floor plan and two revisions? What if I want more work?
A: We'll work with you to determine how much additional work is needed and then give you an estimate on how long it will take. After you give approval for additional work, your card will be charged immediately for a half hour, and then charged for every half hour after that.
Q: How many layouts will we get to choose from?
A: With your input, the designer will create from one floor plan - your space with furniture in it. Then the designer will review that floor plan with you area by area. If you want to make a few teaks here and there, we'll work with you and complete up to two revisions.
Q: How would you come up with the design? Would you study our business?
A: Our designer will walk through a series of questions designed at identifying your desired layout and help align them with your work styles. In addition to you providing a floor plan, pictures and even video in some cases may be required to help showcase your space as it is today.
Q: Would we be working with one designer the entire time?
A: You bet! You're important to us! This personal service won't work well if you didn't work with the same designer all the time.
Q: If you charge me, do you charge per foot, per desk, per hour?
A: We offer you one designed floor plan with two revisions. If you want additional changes or revamps, we'll work with you and get your approval for continued work. You will be charged a fee of $30 per half hour.
Q: What type of plan do you need? Can you interpret blue prints?
A: We prefer CAD or sketch-up files, but if you only have a napkin sketch that is fine too. See more.
Q: I saw some other items I like on your site, can you add that to my drawing?
A: When discussing your plan with our designer, please let her know if there are products outside of our online offering that interest you and she will be able to offer guidance around how they will work in your space.
Q: How quickly can I expect my first layout?
A: Your design will be able to give you a more accurate timeframe, but our goal is to provide you your floor plan within 48 hours.
Q: What if I don’t like the floor design from the SPC?
A: We offer you one designed floor plan with two revisions. The designer will talk to you about the initial floor plan and you should let us know what you want to see in a different way, etc.. and we'll make a revision. That can happen up to two times. If you want additional changes or revamps, we'll work with you and get your approval for continued work. You will be charged a fee of $30 per half hour.
Q: I am on a tight time schedule, so is there anything that I can do to speed up the process?
A: Prior to your conversation with our designer, we would ask that you look at our things to consider, this will make things go faster. And if you're in a rush, please let us know. We're here to work with you!
Q: What payment forms do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal.
Q: Do you accept periodic payments on my total bill?
A: Sorry, we don't.
Q: What if we don’t like it once the furniture is installed?
A: Give us a call. We'd hate to think that after going through all the design work, you don't think your space is fantastic. So we'll work to find a solution you like.
Q: What if I don’t buy your furniture, is the service still free?
A: We think you'll fall in love with our furniture, but either way the Space Planning Consultant service is something we offer to you at no charge regardless of the outcome.
Q: What if I have more than 25 employees?
A: Please give us a call and we will work through that to find a solution that works best for you.
